Privacy policy
Last updated September 24, 2026
Looking for the WalkTalk app's privacy policy?It has its own page.View →This policy covers danielwhite.dev, the website for Daniel White's software and AI consulting work. It explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: the site only collects what it needs to reply to you and to understand which pages get visited. Nothing is sold or used for advertising.
When you use the contact form
The form asks for your name, email address, a subject, and your message. That information is:
- stored in the site's database so I can read and reply to it;
- sent as a notification to a private Discord channel so I see new messages quickly (Discord's own privacy policy applies to that copy);
- used only to respond to you and discuss your project.
Page-view analytics
The site keeps its own simple visit counts. It does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other third-party tracking. For each page you view, it records:
- the page address you visited;
- the site you came from, if your browser shares it;
- a random ID stored in your browser, so repeat visits aren't counted as new visitors. It isn't linked to your name, email, or anything else about you.
You can clear this ID at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Other things the site stores in your browser
Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser so it stays the same between visits. It never leaves your device.
Who else handles your data
The site and its database are hosted on Replit. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to download them. These providers process data only to run their services.
How long it's kept, and your choices
Contact messages are kept for as long as they're useful for our conversation and any work that follows. You can ask me to show you, correct, or delete anything you've sent at any time by emailing danwhite1022@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
